Where/When can I take my Exam??

Where: You can take your driver's exam in any Ohio county. Our teaching is geared toward the Mercer                        County Exam Station in Celina but I have had students take the exam in Greenville

Testing Hours: The Celina office tests Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays    from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. The Greenville office tests Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and     Saturdays from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Some of our students have also gone to Sidney to take their exam.

Materials

****In order to obtain your license you must bring the following items with you to your exam:

  1. A parent/guardian must be present during the examination. Parent/Guardian needs to bring two forms of ID

  2. Your permit

  3. The driving certificate you get from St. Henry Driving School. You will receive this after you have completed all of your classroom work AND your 8 hours behind the wheel

  4. Your 50-hour affidavit form BMV5791. This form must be notarized. Parents can wait to sign until you get to the exam station and have it notarized at the nearby BMV (Celina). If you do not have a form, one is available by clicking the button below.

Test

Before you start the test, the examiner will inspect your vehile and then have you perform the maneuvering part and the driving portion of the the test

Before you go:

  1. Practice driving and maneuvering with the vehicle you plan to use on your test. For more information on the maneuverability portion of the test, click the button below

             2.  Inspect your vehicle. Make sure headlights, turn signals, brake lights, license plate                     light, and your horn all work before leaving your home and the student knows how

to work them. These will all be checked by the examiner. If any of them do not                            work, you will not be allowed to take your test.

***You must pass both the maneuverability and driving portions of the test. If you fail either one, you will have to wait at least one week and take the failed portion of the test again. Keep in mind, if you pass the maneuverability portion of the test but fail the driving portion, you only have to retake the driving portion of the test.
