Instructors //

After each student completes his/her classroom portion of the driving school, he/she will drive the required eight hours with either myself or one of the three driving instructors listed below. Each of the instructors have been certified by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Our main focal point is to prepare each student as best we can to ensure that the student successfully passes the driving examination on their first attempt and becomes an aware and knowledgeable driver.

If the student has a preference of which instructor they would like to drive with, we will try our best to make arrangements to ensure that the request is met. If there is no preference, the student will be assigned to either myself or one of the three instructors. The student will be contacted by his/her assigned instructor approximately three months after the student receives his/her permit to schedule the first of three drives: the student does not contact the instructor.

Gretchen Hoyng

Gretchen has been an instructor at St. Henry Driving School since November of 2020. She currently resides in St. Henry and works as a Secretary for Coldwater High School. Outside of her work, Gretchen enjoys sports and being outside working in her flowerbeds.

Krista first started working for St. Henry Driving School in February of 2025. She currently resides just outside of Ft. Recovery with her husband, John, and they have three children: Bryant, Allie, and Danielle. Besides working as a Driving Instructor, Krista has been a Kindergarten Teacher at Parkway Local Schools for 20 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time watching her kids in their activities, going to the Lake, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy has been an instructor for St. Henry Driving School since February of 2026. She currently resides in Coldwater with her husband, Jamie, and son, Braylon. She also has seven grown children. Cindy's past work experience includes 11 years at Taylor Communications in Coldwater, and she currently works with Edward Jones in St. Marys. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her kids in their sports, spending time with family and friends and at the beach, and partaking in outdoor activities.
